The Village Board of Appeals serves as a quasi-judicial body responsible for reviewing and deciding appeals related to zoning and land use regulations within the Village of Caledonia. This board hears cases involving requests for variances, special exceptions, and interpretations of the zoning code when strict enforcement would result in practical difficulties or unnecessary hardships for property owners.
Composed of appointed community members, the Board ensures that all decisions align with the Village’s comprehensive plan while balancing the interests of individual applicants and the broader community. Meetings are held on an as-needed basis and are open to the public.
For more information about meeting schedules, agendas, minutes, or to submit an application or appeal, please contact the Village Clerk’s Office or visit the Zoning and Planning section of the website.
The Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Caledonia will meet at 7:15 p.m. at the Village Hall. If you would like to be on the agenda, please call ZBA Secretary Elizabeth Dietrich at (585) 281-6727 or email liz@klumpe.com.
